about us

Ideas, Projects, Dreams …

Life is full of challenges. One can turn from them, taking the easy road, or embrace them and work them through to completion. What makes it all worth while, is facing a challenge head on, accepting it , and then running it through to final success! Along the way one may find obstacles, may even stumble and fall, but to reach one’s goals, one must get right back up, and carry on, looking beyond the problems… always towards the final prize.

We move your ideas.
We take the challenge, work it, tone it and carry it through to success.

Our founder Alex Panayotou is a marathon runner of greek origins.
She knows what it means to take the challenge and follow through with flying colours!

Delta the 4th word in the Greek alphabet was chosen as it is made up of three sides, as is Delta Events – Sports, Social , and Corporate… all forming one solid whole.

Delta

quienes_somos_2

1. The fourth letter of the Greek alphabet.
2. An object shaped like a triangle.
a. A usually triangular alluvial deposit at the mouth of a river.
b. A similar deposit at the mouth of a tidal inlet, caused by tidal currents.
4. Mathematics. A finite increment in a variable.

WORD HISTORY: A Greek letter sits at the mouth of many rivers. Noticing the resemblance between the island formed by sediment at the mouth of a river such as the Nile and the triangular shape of their letter delta (_), the Greeks gave the name delta to such an island. English borrowed this sense from Greek, although the word delta appeared first in English as the name of the letter, in a work written possibly around 1200. The sense “alluvial deposit” is not recorded until 1555, when delta is used with reference to the Nile River delta.
